The Isle of Dogs has a beach?! Yes it has, it's even on Google (whatever that is). Look:
This beach is great for dogs like me, but some people have been known to swim here too. I wouldn't recommend it though...
Like a lot of the Isle of Dogs, there's lots of history here. It's not really a beach of course, it was where they built ships and stuff in the olden days.
This picture is from 1974 and you can see the beach at the bottom. The pier is still there too, but its just for the use of the residents of Millennium Wharf.
It was called Millwall Wharf back then and where the warehouses are it was called London Yard.
Anyway, enough of the history lesson. I'm back and I'm happy.
